Work on the Jinijini-Sampa Road Project in the Bono Region has slowed due to the theft of construction materials, according to Rango Construction Limited. The contractor reported that the removal of gravel from sections of the road is impeding progress and could affect the project's timeline if not resolved. The Jinijini-Sampa Road Project is part of a government initiative to improve national road networks. Felix Agyei, Public Relations Officer for Rango Construction Limited, highlighted these challenges at a ceremony in Jinijini. He appealed to residents in communities along the project corridor to assist in protecting the materials needed for the road's development. Agyei emphasized that the proper management of construction materials is crucial for the project's timely completion, which is anticipated by the end of 2028.
