The Ministry of the Interior has sent money to pay rent allowance debts for last year. This payment is for security service personnel.
The funds cover officers from the Ghana Prisons Service, the Ghana National Fire Service, and the Ghana Immigration Service. These allowances were for the 2025 financial year.
The money is meant to settle outstanding arrears owed to these officers. The delay in payment has now been addressed by the ministry.
All eligible personnel within these three security services who were affected by the payment delay will receive their due allowance.
