According to The Ghana Report, the High Court in Dambai, Oti Region, has granted an interlocutory injunction to stop the National Democratic Congress from conducting its Nkwanta North Constituency Executive Elections. The polls were originally scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026. The court order, issued on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, further bars the party and its representatives from utilizing or certifying the branch executive register compiled during elections held in June and July 2026. The legal action was initiated by Gmajobe Yaw and 22 additional members of the constituency. The respondents named in the application include the National Democratic Congress, the constituency chairman, Isaiah Kudjo Dordoe, and the chairman of the constituency election committee, Jonathan Makunaye.
