The government will send police officers to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This is for a learning mission. They will focus on stadium crowd management and control.

The Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Iddie Adams, confirmed this plan. He spoke on Adom FM. He stated that the Inspector General of Police, Christ Tetteh Yahuno, has been engaged.

The police officers will gain experience from the international sporting event. This is to improve how crowds are managed at events in Ghana.

The minister also mentioned that bloggers will be part of the delegation. The purpose for their inclusion was not detailed in the report.

Ghana does not play in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The tournament will be held in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
