Ghana and Burkina Faso have signed seven new agreements. These agreements aim to improve border and security ties between the two countries. These talks followed a deadly attack in Burkina Faso.

Eight Ghanaians were killed in that attack on February 14. Ghana's foreign minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, confirmed the agreements. He discussed the matter after a visit to Burkina Faso. Named official stated that the discussions were "deeply honest".

The agreements are designed to deepen security cooperation. They also plan to restart frameworks for working across their shared border.

The goal is to prevent similar incidents in the future. The two nations are committed to regional stability.
