Police arrest 2 after tricycle clash with students at Atwima Kwanwoma

Two tricycle operators have been arrested after a clash with students of Atwima Kwanwoma Senior High School at Trede in the Ashanti Region left one person injured.

The incident occurred during the school's entertainment week celebration in the Atwima Kwanwoma Municipality.

Trede District Police Commander Chief Superintendent Vincent Appiah confirmed the arrests and said police would convene a stakeholders' meeting with school authorities, traditional leaders and tricycle operators.

The school's headmaster, Clement Asambire, said operators had entered through unauthorised routes where there is no perimeter fence, and that only three security guards cover day and night duties.
