The High Court judge hearing the trial of former National Signals Bureau Director-General Kwabena Adu-Boahene has reportedly cautioned defence lawyer Kwesi Botchway Jnr over his social media comments on the case.

According to Chale News, citing GhanaWeb and a TV3 Facebook post of 30 October 2026, the judge warned in open court that the commentary could prejudice the case.

Botchway, who is also a deputy director of communications for the New Patriotic Party, is part of Adu-Boahene's defence team. Adu-Boahene is being prosecuted over an alleged $7m cyber defence contract.

The trial continues, and the accused remain presumed innocent.
