The Supreme Court has issued an order to stop Groupe Nduom Savings and Loans from operating. This action pauses the restoration of the company's banking license.
The order follows a challenge filed against a previous decision by the Court of Appeal. That earlier ruling had allowed Groupe Nduom to get its license back.
Ghana's top court will now review the case. It will decide if the Court of Appeal's judgment was correct.
Until the Supreme Court makes its final decision, Groupe Nduom must stop all its business activities. This includes any plans to reopen its branches.
This development is based on a court filing by the Judicial Service.
