A woman is going to prison for two years. The Accra Circuit Court handed down the sentence.

Amanda Pascal, who is 32 years old, admitted to the crimes. She was found guilty of unlawful entry and stealing.

The court heard that Pascal entered a church. This happened at the 48 Engineer Barracks in Teshie.

She took various items from the church premises. The prosecutor detailed the stolen items.

The presiding judge, Mrs Basilia Adjei-Tawiah, made the sentencing decision.

Pascal was unemployed at the time of the offense.

The sentence serves as a reminder that stealing from places of worship has serious consequences.
