Two tricycle operators have been arrested after a clash with students of Atwima Kwanwoma Senior High School at Trede in the Atwima Kwanwoma Municipality left one person injured, according to Otec FM.
Otec FM reported that the incident occurred during the school's entertainment week celebration. Headmaster Clement Asambire told Otec News that similar clashes had happened before and blamed the lack of a fence wall and limited security coverage, saying the school had only three security guards for day and night duties.
Trede District Police Commander Chief Superintendent Vincent Appiah confirmed the incident to Otec FM and said two tricycle operators had been arrested pending investigation. He said police planned a stakeholders' engagement with school authorities, traditional leaders and tricycle operators.
