Police officers in Tamale are receiving new training. The Japan International Cooperation Agency or JICA is leading the program.

This is an in-country training for selected police officers. The focus is on enhancing community policing efforts.

Community policing means officers work closely with the public. They build trust and cooperation to solve local problems.

Officials from JICA met with police officers and others. The meeting took place in Tamale.

This training will help officers better understand community needs. It aims to improve how they serve and protect citizens.

The program is part of efforts to strengthen law enforcement in Ghana.
