A woman has appeared before an Accra Circuit Court accused of taking GH¢156,445. This money was reportedly collected through a Susu savings scheme.
Susu is a traditional system where people contribute money regularly and one person receives the total amount on a rotating basis.
The court granted the woman bail. Details of the bail conditions were not immediately available.
The Ghana Police Service is investigating the allegations.
Further court proceedings are expected as the case continues.
