A Ghanaian man has been accused of defrauding Dutch men of about €200,000 in an alleged romance and money scam, according to Modern Ghana, which reported on a video of the men confronting his friend at a hotel.

Modern Ghana said the man ended a video call once he realised the Dutch men were watching. His friend told them he had been asked to help buy a car from the United States for relatives and had passed on money, including $70,000 in cash.

No police report, arrest or charge was reported. The man has not responded publicly and is presumed innocent.
