According to the Public Relations Officer of the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), Benjamin Madro Avornyotse, law enforcement agencies have arrested and remanded more than 10 suspected kingpins involved in scam centre operations uncovered in Ghana. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full scope of the suspects' activities and identify other individuals involved. Electronic devices, including mobile phones and laptops, were seized for forensic examination. These arrests follow a global operation by the FBI targeting transnational fraud networks. The CSA is working to differentiate perpetrators from victims, many of whom were lured with false employment promises and forced into fraudulent online activities. Authorities plan to repatriate many of the individuals identified as victims.
