Police in the Ashanti Region have arrested a mother.
She is accused of selling her newborn baby to a couple who wanted a child.
The sale reportedly involved GH₵15,000.
The baby was only five days old when the transaction allegedly took place.
Authorities have recovered the infant.
The Ghana Police Service is continuing investigations into the matter.
Further legal proceedings are expected.
