Most bank staff accused of fraud kept their jobs in 2025. This information comes from a report by the Bank of Ghana.

Cash theft and cash suppression were the main types of fraud committed by employees. These issues continued to be a problem throughout the year.

A total of 75 staff members were dismissed due to fraud related offenses. Of these dismissals, 44 involved cash theft.

This means that 59 percent of all employees fired for fraud in 2025 were due to cash theft.

The report indicates that a large number of employees involved in fraud were not fired.
