The Ghana Police Service has launched a campaign against illegal vehicle equipment in the Ashanti Region. This action aims to reduce public nuisance and ensure road safety.

Officers are looking for vehicles fitted with unauthorized sirens, horns, and strobe lights. These devices are meant for emergency vehicles only.

Drivers modifying their headlamps with improvised or illegal bulbs are also subject to enforcement. The modification of vehicle lighting can affect visibility for other road users.

The police are also addressing drivers who inappropriately use road shoulders and verges. These areas are not designated for regular traffic flow.

This enforcement action is part of broader efforts to improve road discipline and safety across the region. Unauthorized modifications can be distracting and dangerous.
