Two individuals were arrested today for trying to steal power cables. The cables belonged to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
Security personnel caught the two in an Accra suburb. They were attempting to take the power cables.
Ghana Police Service officials stated the two are currently assisting with investigations. This means police are questioning them.
Stealing power cables can cause power outages. It can also create dangerous situations.
