A group called the Ashanti Muslim Women Association has sent a formal complaint to President John Dramani Mahama. This complaint was made on March 16, 2026.
The women's group says that the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mubarak Mohammed, has unlawfully taken control of land.
They claim this land, located in Buoban, Asawase, has legally belonged to them for more than two decades.
The petition states that construction has already started on the land.
The association is asking the President to look into this matter.
This is according to a petition submitted to the President.
