Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, known by her stage name Nana Agradaa, has spoken out after her release from prison. She was freed on Tuesday, February 3.

Agradaa spent nine months incarcerated. This is two-thirds of her original one-year sentence. Ghana allows for sentence reductions for good behaviour.

She had initially been sentenced to 15 years in prison. This sentence was for defrauding people.

Upon reaching the prison gates, Agradaa said her only thought was to surrender herself to God. She made this statement following her release.

The specifics of the original fraud charges have not been detailed in this report.

Her release comes after a period of incarceration that began earlier in the year.
