More than 3,000 suspected scam phone numbers have been reported on TrustGH since its launch. This is Ghana's first public database for scam phone numbers.
The reported numbers are connected to different types of fraud. These include issues with online shopping, fake investment and job offers, and romance scams.
Impersonation scams and recruitment fraud are also among the reported activities. TrustGH allows the public to report numbers they believe are used for scams.
The database aims to help protect people from financial loss and other harm caused by these fraudulent schemes.
Information shared on TrustGH is collected from public reports. The platform is an initiative to combat phone-based scams.
