Ghanaian tomato traders are advising caution when traveling to northern Burkina Faso. This warning comes after a recent terror attack that killed several Ghanaian traders.
A named official, Nana Tuffuor, who heads the Ghana National Tomato Traders and Transporters Association, stated that many towns along the trade corridor are now classified as high-risk areas.
These areas, referred to as 'red zones,' pose a significant danger to those transporting goods.
The association is urging all drivers and market operators to take extra precautions.
The advisory aims to prevent further loss of life and protect traders.
Safety of Ghanaian citizens engaged in cross-border trade is the main concern.
