The Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has called on the Okada Riders Association of Ghana to ensure all its members receive proper training in safe riding practices. He stressed the importance of following road traffic regulations.
Mr Yohuno met with the leaders of the association to discuss these safety concerns. The meeting aimed to improve the conduct and safety of motorcycle taxi operators across the country.
The police chief emphasized that compliance with traffic laws is crucial for reducing accidents. He urged the association to take responsibility for the training and discipline of its members.
This initiative by the Ghana Police Service seeks to enhance road safety for both riders and the public. It is part of ongoing efforts to regulate the growing motorcycle taxi sector.
