The Narcotics Control Commission, NACOC, and the Ghana Education Service, GES, have joined forces. They want to make drug prevention stronger in schools across the Eastern Region.
A special meeting was held for guidance and counseling coordinators. These are the people in senior high schools who help students with problems.
The leaders were trained on how to better spot and prevent drug use among students. This is part of a larger effort to keep young people safe from drugs.
Promasidor Ghana also supported the event. They help provide resources for these important training sessions.
The goal is to equip school staff with the knowledge and tools they need. This will allow them to create a safer learning environment free from drugs.
Drug prevention education is seen as very important for the well-being of students.
