The Narcotics Control Commission, known as Nacoc, and the Ghana Education Service, or Ges, have joined forces. They are working to make schools safer from drugs.

This effort is happening in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

Officials from Nacoc in the Eastern Region met with Guidance and Counselling Coordinators. These coordinators work in Senior High Schools across the region.

The meeting was a seminar. It aimed to improve how schools prevent students from using drugs.

The goal is to strengthen drug prevention programs already in place at schools.

This collaboration seeks to educate students and staff about the dangers of drug abuse.

It also aims to provide tools for identifying and helping students who might be struggling with drug issues.
