The IET-Ghana Women in Engineering group visited the Ministry of Youth, Development and Empowerment. The group was led by its Chairlady, Engr. Mrs. Adjoa Agyinba Tetteh Gyamera. They want to find ways to work together with the ministry.
Their goal is to encourage more girls to get into science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields. They also want to support girls in technical and vocational education and training, TVET.
Other members of the delegation included Vice Chairlady Engr. Mrs. Madina S. Adams, Engr. Dr. Mrs. Miriam Eduful, and Engr. Prof. Gladys Quartey. The meeting focused on fostering collaboration.
The initiative aims to inspire the next generation of female engineers and technicians. This partnership could provide valuable opportunities for young women across Ghana.
The Ministry of Youth, Development and Empowerment is expected to respond to the proposed collaboration. The aim is to create pathways for girls interested in STEM and TVET careers.
