The Eastern Regional Chairman of the Ghana National Association of Traditional Healers, Nana Sika Ansaba, has called for government support. He asked the government to create a special fund for the herbal medicine industry. This request was made during the association's Annual General Meeting in Koforidua.

Nana Sika Ansaba explained that the fund would help improve the industry. It would be used to finance important research. The money would also build better facilities for producing herbal medicines.

He believes that with government backing, the herbal medicine sector can reach its full potential. This would help both practitioners and consumers of traditional medicines. It would also contribute to the country's health and economy.
