Ghana needs more people to act as protectors in the digital space, according to Dr. Albert Antwi-Boasiako. He is the founder and chair of the e-Crime Bureau.
Dr. Antwi-Boasiako explained that digital fraud increases when users do not know about the risks. He also said that institutions must create strong systems to stop online attacks.
Many Ghanaians now use mobile money, banking applications, online shopping sites, and social media for daily tasks. This increase in online activity creates more chances for fraud.
The expert believes Ghana’s growing digital economy requires stronger measures to keep consumers safe.
He called for more "capable guardians" to stand watch against cyber threats.
