A security analyst says Ghana could have prevented the recent attack on tomato traders by providing better travel advice.

Professor Kwesi Aning said that although Ghana has recently improved relations with nearby countries, the incident highlights problems with citizen protection.

He explained that a reliable travel advisory system is crucial for citizens traveling abroad.

The analyst mentioned that the killing of Ghanaian traders in northern Burkina Faso exposes serious gaps in Ghana's ability to ensure safe travel for its people.

Professor Aning spoke about these issues during an interview.
