Russell Brand, 51, was convicted at Southwark Crown Court in London on 5 November 2026 of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault.

The jury acquitted him of two other rape counts and one count of attempted indecent assault. The seven charges related to six women and covered offences between 1999 and 2009. The women have lifelong anonymity.

Mr Justice Bennathan remanded Brand in custody after the verdict and said a significant custodial sentence would follow. Sentencing is listed for Monday.

Brand had denied all the allegations throughout the trial, which began on 12 October 2026.
