A retailer working at the Atimpoku Shell Filling Station told the High Court that the petrol sold to a customer was mixed with water. This happened in August 2022.

The admission came during the cross-examination of Vivo Energy’s first defence witness. The witness was John Delase-Michael.

This legal action was brought by a businessman. The businessman accused the company of selling him fuel contaminated with water.

The court heard that the customer purchased the fuel from the specific Shell station. The station is operated by Vivo Energy.

The witness's statement confirms the customer's complaint about the fuel quality.

Further details of the court proceedings are expected as the case continues.
