Teacher in assault case re-arraigned granted GH₵80,000 bail

A teacher facing an assault charge has been brought before the Nyinahin District Court again. The teacher, Eric Apaflo Buernortey, is 39 years old.

The incident involving the teacher and a student happened in Nyinahin in the Ashanti Region. Buernortey pleaded not guilty to the charge of assault.

This court appearance marks the second time the accused has been arraigned. He was first brought to court after the matter became public on June 8.

The Nyinahin District Court granted Buernortey bail. The bail amount was set at GH₵80,000.

Further court proceedings are expected as the case continues.
