Her Honour Susana Nyajortey, a Circuit Court Judge, has pointed out that many people in Ghana are not using Alternative Dispute Resolution methods.
She explained that this means more cases are going directly to the Supreme Court.
Judge Nyajortey believes this is putting a lot of extra work on the Supreme Court judges.
The Judicial Service encourages the use of ADR to settle disagreements outside of court.
ADR methods can be faster and sometimes less expensive than going through the court system.
