Legal practitioner Oliver Barker-Vormawor intends to fight a court decision. The High Court ordered him to pay GH₵5.1 million.
The payment is for damages in a defamation case brought by Albert Kan Dapaah. Kan Dapaah formerly served as National Security Minister.
Barker-Vormawor made his intentions known on social media. He stated that the court proceedings had errors.
He specifically pointed to issues with how the case was handled. These claims were made after the court issued its ruling on March 2.
Barker-Vormawor believes the steps taken during the legal process were not correct.
The court's decision requires a substantial financial payout from Barker-Vormawor to Kan Dapaah.
