An Accra Circuit Court has granted bail to two individuals facing criminal charges. Joel Armah, known as “Stop 10,” is accused of robbery, and Gideon Awuah, also known as “Bongo,” faces a charge of dishonestly receiving stolen property.
The court set bail at GH¢50,000 for each of the accused. They must each provide two sureties to secure their release.
Both Armah and Awuah entered not guilty pleas to the charges against them. Armah faces additional charges related to conspiracy.
The charges stem from separate alleged incidents. The specific details of the alleged robbery and the subsequent alleged receipt of stolen items were presented in court filings.
The Judicial Service stated that both men are due to return to court on a later date for further proceedings. The prosecution is expected to present its evidence.
