A Ghanaian mining company has alleged that armed men have occupied one of its concessions for more than two months following a dispute in which five people reportedly died.

According to Chale News, Narawa Company Limited says the incident also left more than a dozen people injured.

The company alleges that the armed group continues to control the concession despite the passage of two months.

The dispute has reportedly reached the High Court, although the available account does not establish the precise proceedings or the court's position.

The reported deaths, injuries and continued occupation are allegations attributed to the mining company. Independent confirmation from police or the court was not available at the time of publication.

No arrests, criminal charges or court findings were confirmed.
