A man in his late 30s has reportedly been arrested after allegedly confessing in a video to killing 3 people for ritual purposes.
According to Modern Ghana, the video, shared on social media, shows the man sitting in a chair in handcuffs as he speaks. He claims a chop bar operator he identified only as Evo instructed him to obtain the saliva and other body fluids of dead people and paid him GH¢500.
He said all 3 alleged killings were carried out at the woman's request, and that he collected the fluids with a napkin or handkerchief and handed them to her.
The video did not identify the police station where he was being held or where the alleged killings took place. Modern Ghana's headline gave the sum as GH¢50, while its report quotes him as saying GH¢500.
No police statement on the case had been reported at the time of publication. It is not known whether the woman he named has been arrested, and the identities of the alleged victims have not been reported.
The man has not been named or charged, and his claims have not been independently verified. He and the woman he accused remain presumed innocent.
