Muslims in Ho Zongo have resumed worship at the Ho Central Mosque following its reopening by the National Chief Imam on Saturday, October 10. The mosque had been shut indefinitely after violent clashes linked to a dispute over leadership positions, which included a shooting incident that injured 13 people. Although worship can now resume, the leadership dispute remains unresolved. According to the Ho Zongo youth leader, Mohammed Salisu Kidzah, those responsible for the shooting must face the law. He expressed happiness for the reopening but stressed the need for the law to take its course regarding the shooting incident, noting it was not the first time shots were fired at the mosque. The National Chief Imam also called for peace during his visit.
