The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority DVLA has impounded 85 vehicles that were illegally imported.
These seizures were made possible by a new clone detection system the DVLA introduced in May.
Mr Julius Neequaye Kotey, the Chief Executive Officer of the DVLA, shared this information.
Vehicle cloning is a process where fake identities are given to vehicles.
This allows them to be used on the road fraudulently.
The DVLA's new system helps identify these illegally imported vehicles.
The Authority continues to work to ensure all vehicles on the road are legally registered.
This effort helps to maintain order and prevent financial losses from smuggled goods.
