Sulemana Braimah, the head of the Media Foundation for West Africa, is asking questions about the arrest of Dennis Miracles Aboagye. Mr Aboagye is a communicator for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr Aboagye was arrested by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) over the weekend. This happened as he arrived at Kotoka International Airport in Accra after being away from Ghana.

Braimah said there is no evidence that Mr Aboagye obstructed any investigation. He also noted that there is no indication he did not cooperate with EOCO officials.

Mr Aboagye is currently being held by EOCO. The reasons for his arrest and detention have not been fully explained by the office.
