Police in Koforidua have arrested a 17-year-old suspect. The arrest follows allegations of a theft involving GH₵50,000.
The arrest was made by the Koforidua District Police. The alleged incident occurred at a company office.
According to the Ghana Police Service, the teenage boy gained access to a company safe. GH₵50,000 was reportedly taken from the safe.
The suspect has confessed to the alleged crime. He told police he planned to use the money to elope with his girlfriend.
The full amount stolen is GH₵50,000.
The Koforidua District Police have taken custody of the suspect.
Investigations into the incident are continuing.
