Members of Parliament on the Minority side are demanding action after National Democratic Congress youth allegedly attacked and closed an office.
The incident happened at the National Health Insurance Authority NHIA office in Ejisu in the Ashanti Region.
The Minority Caucus stated the protest was unlawful and a direct attack on public services.
Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, who is the Ranking Member on Parliament’s Health Committee, spoke at a press conference.
He called for the immediate arrest of all persons involved in the actions at the Ejisu NHIA office.
He described the protest as nonsense and demanded it stops immediately.
The Minority believes this action hindered public access to essential health insurance services.
Authorities have not yet commented on any arrests made in connection with the incident.
