The Minority Caucus in Parliament has strongly condemned the unlawful closure of the National Health Insurance Authority office in Ejisu. This action has been described as a protest gone wrong.

Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, who is the Ranking Member on Parliament’s Health Committee, called for the immediate arrest of those responsible. He spoke during a press conference to address the issue.

Dr. Afriyie referred to the incident as a direct attack on public service institutions. He stated that such actions are a form of nonsense that must stop immediately.

The youth involved are reportedly from the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Their actions led to the temporary closure of the health insurance office.

Parliamentary action is being called for to ensure those responsible face consequences. The Minority Caucus believes this will deter future such incidents.
