Parliament's Minority Caucus has strongly criticized the recent actions of some National Democratic Congress youth in Ejisu.

These youth unlawfully closed down the National Health Insurance Authority NHIA office in the Ashanti Region. The Minority views this as a direct affront to public institutions.

Ranking Member on Parliament’s Health Committee, Dr Ayew Afriyie, spoke out strongly against the incident. He called for an immediate halt to such disruptive behaviour.

He also demanded that law enforcement arrest those responsible without delay. The Minority stressed that protests must be conducted within legal boundaries.

This action by the NDC youth is seen as a challenge to public order. The Caucus highlighted the importance of respecting governmental agencies.

No official statement of the incident from the Ghana Police Service has been released regarding arrests. Information on the specific reasons for the protest was not immediately available from authorities.
