A 26-year-old man has tragically drowned at an illegal mining site in the Western Region. The deceased, who hailed from Bantama in the Ashanti Region, was reportedly lured to the dangerous location by a friend.
The friend allegedly enticed the victim with promises of substantial daily earnings of GHS700 from the illicit galamsey activities. The circumstances surrounding the drowning are currently under investigation.
