Police have arrested a 29-year-old man in Odorkor, a suburb of Accra. He is accused of defiling a 10-year-old girl.
The Ghana Police Service stated that the incident occurred after the child was allegedly lured to a secluded area.
The victim is receiving support from relevant authorities.
An investigation into the full circumstances surrounding the alleged defilement is underway.
The suspect is currently being held by the police.
