Former MASLOC CEO Sedina Tamakloe Attionu has been extradited from the United States to Ghana following her conviction on over 70 corruption-related charges. The charges include the alleged embezzlement of more than $6 million in Ghanaian taxpayer funds.
The Accra High Court convicted Attionu in 2024 for her role in the misappropriation of public funds during her tenure at the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre. Her extradition marks a significant development in the ongoing efforts to combat financial crimes and recover stolen assets in Ghana.
