Police have arrested two brothers in Takoradi. They are suspected of having and trying to pass off fake Ghanaian currency.
The arrests happened during a sting operation on Sunday, March 16, 2026. This operation was carried out by the Ghana Police Service.
The suspects were apprehended in connection with the alleged circulation of counterfeit bank notes.
Further investigations are underway by the police into the source of the fake currency.
The Ghana Police Service has not released further details about the amount of fake money involved.
