The government plans to continue prosecuting Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, the former Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party. He is accused in a GH₵30 million Ghana Export-Import Bank fraud case.

Dr Edem Srem-Sai, the Deputy Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, stated this. He informed Wontumi's lawyers that the prosecution will proceed.

The case involves allegations of fraud related to the EXIM Bank. The exact details of the alleged fraud are part of ongoing legal proceedings.

Wontumi, a prominent political figure, faces these charges. The State has indicated its commitment to seeing the case through the courts.

This development signals the continuation of legal action against the former NPP chairman. Further court appearances are expected as the case progresses.
