The Social Security and National Insurance Trust Ssnit has explained its rules about who can be a pension beneficiary. Employees of Ssnit cannot name boyfriends or girlfriends to receive their pension money.
This information was shared by Mr Frank Molbila Who is the General Manager in charge of Benefits at Ssnit. He explained the Trust regulations clearly.
Instead of romantic partners, individuals are only allowed to nominate their blood relatives. This includes close family members by birth or adoption.
The Trust aims to ensure pension benefits are distributed according to established family ties. This is meant to provide financial security for immediate family members after the member's death.
